Aspire Magazine: Inspiration for a Woman's Soul.(TM) Apr/May 2020 Aspire Magazine SAMPLE Issue | Page 19
We were in the beginning stages of the
coronavirus pandemic and the suggestion of
social distancing had just started. I had gone
hiking for the day and asked Spirit / Universe
for guidance on how to help people through
the fear that I could already feel intensifying.
One thing that I know works when we feel
out-of-control or in fear is being of service …
doing something for someone else.
Later that evening, an owl spoke (hooted)
at me – although this might sound crazy to
some, this is my normal – and I knew that
I would get the clarity and the wisdom I
was asking for. I awoke at four o’clock the

we can offer some sense of security; it may
be the need for spiritual support, to receive
the energy of possibility and hope and the
reminder that we are all in this together. And,
it may be, like it is in my case, the need to
DO something to direct our powerful energy
towards good.
Why has creating and
providing support
through this outreach
program been so deeply
important to you?
Thirty years ago, I was a single mom on
food stamps and welfare, barely surviving
life’s challenges, not having a lot of my basic
needs met and struggling to feel worthy and
valuable enough to receive any help. I know
how scary it is to not know how you’re going
